It also traces the evolution of fishing and hunting regulations\, from early conservation measures to modern game management.

DESCRIPTION:During the month of October\, LIVING ALONG THE ATCHAFALAYA\, an exhibition of historic photographs and archival items will be displayed at the Everett Street Gallery (old Bank Building) at 201 Freret across from City Hall. The following is more information: \nExperience LIVING ALONG THE ATCHAFALAYA\, a once in a lifetime showing of historic photos\, focusing on the mighty Atchafalaya River’s effects on the lives of the residents of the Berwick Bay area. \nAlthough the Atchafalaya River is the focus\, many topics are covered that touch our lives through our association with this body of water – floods\, ferries\, steamboats\, showboats\, industry\, and many more are covered. \nYou will hear stories and see images that have not been seen or heard by many of the residents of Morgan City and our area. \nJoin us\, during October\, on Mondays – Fridays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 am. To 2 p.m. at the Everett Street Galley (former Bank Building downtown across from City Hall). \nThere is no charge to view the exhibition\, and class field trips and groups are welcome. If you would like to schedule an alternate time\, call 985-519-7607.
