B.A.S.S. Federation Central Division Championship

B.A.S.S. Federation Central Division Championship - Slated June 6th, 7th, & 8th, 2012 – Atchafalaya Basin, Morgan City, LA

Bassmaster Federation will be hosting their Central Division Championship on the Atchafalaya Basin in Morgan City, Louisiana. The B.A.S.S. Federation was founded by Ray Scott in Montgomery, Alabama in 1967 with the first tournament having 106 fishermen competing. Today the B.A.S.S. Federation organization has more than half a million members with simple goals in mind: to create a credible and honorable tournament trail, to improve our environment by uniting and amplifying the voices of anglers and to secure a future for our youth.

Official practice will begin on Monday, June 4th, and a mandatory registration and briefing will be held on Tuesday, June 5th, from 3:30 to 5:00 p.m. at the Morgan City Municipal Auditorium. Dinner will begin at 5:00 p.m. with a briefing for the anglers starting at 6:00 p.m. (All anglers must attend to register – pairings will be announced also.) Competition will begin on Wednesday, June 6th and continue through Friday, June 8th, weigh-in day. The launch location and weigh-in location will be at Jesse Fontenot Memorial Boat Landing in Berwick, Louisiana. Launch time will be at 5:45 a.m. with weigh-in times being held at 2:00 p.m. Awards will also be presented at the Jesse Fontenot Memorial Boat Landing.
