‘The Listening Tour’ Hears Tourism Concerns Statewide
Lt. Gov. Billy Nungesser travels the state to hear concerns from the front lines

HOUMA, LA — Lt. Governor Billy Nungesser, Louisiana’s chief tourism official, will be traveling throughout the state to meet with individuals in the business of tourism to receive their information, concerns and comments.

His intention for this venture, titled "The Listening Tour," is to hear from those who are directly impacted by Louisiana's tourism industry in a "free to speak frankly" environment.

The first event will be a breakfast meeting Tuesday, Aug. 30, beginning at 8 a.m. at the Houma Area Convention and Visitors Bureau, located at 114 Tourist Drive in Gray.  Light pastries, coffee, etc., will be provided.

Individuals working at any level in the hotel/motel, food/catering, tourism guide and transportation businesses throughout the Houma-Thibodaux area and surrounding parishes, including all of St. Mary Parish, are encouraged to attend.
