Saltwater trail with lots of open water. Self rescue is a must! Use caution crossing Intracoastal Canal due to barge traffic: wind direction may deflect the sound of oncoming barges. High winds can cause choppiness. Watch for high-speed boat traffic and sudden storms. May through September can be very hot! Bring sunscreen, plenty of water and bug spray. Restrooms available.
