Completed in 1940, the Teche Theatre was the most luxurious theatre in South Louisiana. Despite lean economic times and the weathering of tropical storms, the Teche has been restored and reopened in 2001 as a performing arts venue.
The Teche Theatre hosts and produces numerous productions annually, opening with a fall mystery and including a holiday production, an African American Showcase, and closing with a summer production.
