25,730 acres owned by the state of Louisiana and 2,232 acres owned by the US Army Corps of Engineers of bottomland hardwoods, cypress and tupelo swamp. 20 miles NW of Morgan City, accessible only by boat. Boating, fishing, hunting and birding, primitive camping available. Managed by the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries, headquarters located on Martin Ridge Road.
