Christmas on the Cajun Coast brings a month of festive events stretching from Berwick to Franklin to Morgan City, Centerville, Bayou Vista, Patterson, and Baldwin, with celebrations shining all along the Bayou Teche. From light displays and parades to markets, concerts, and family activities, each community adds its own charm to the season, creating a lively and welcoming holiday atmosphere across the region. December 1, 2025Berwick’s Christmas Lighting
 Hosted by the Town of Berwick at 3225 3rd Street. From 6 pm to 8 pm. Join us as Santa arrives by boat! They will have snacks, carols, & pictures with Santa, a children’s train ride, & more!

December 1 – 31, 2025Victorian Christmas at the Grevemberg House 
Explore Franklin’s Victorian Christmas at 1529 Sterling Road (Hwy322), Victorian-style tree and seasonal greenery, the Grevemberg House, and Shadowlawn will be decorated for Christmas. Contact 337-828-2092 for more information.

 Hosted by The Old Building, 3190 First Street, Berwick. From 4 pm to 8 pm. Mark your calendars and join them for a magical evening filled with Christmas cheer, twinkling lights, live music, and the kind of small-town Christmas spirit that warms the heart. This beloved tradition is their way of saying Thank You to the wonderful community! Come make memories with them where Christmas magic lives on First Street.

December 6, 20254th Annual Winter Festival 
Hosted by Lighthouse Community Church, 3801 Hwy. 182, Berwick. From 11 am to 2 pm. Get ready for a magical day of holiday fun at Lighthouse Community Church in Berwick! They’re bringing the community together for a free event filled with music, delicious food, exciting games, creative crafts, visits to Santa, & much more! Bring your friends, family, & holiday spirit & let’s make memories together at this festive celebration!

December 6, 2025 Mingle & Jingle in Franklin
 Shop for family and friends. Jewelry makers, artists, homemade goods, and food, 9 am to 2 pm. Downtown Franklin.

December 6, 2025 Franklin’s Bayou to Main Market Place
 Hosted by The Franklin Merchants’ Association. Get ready to kick off the holiday season in the heart of downtown Franklin from 10 am to 2 pm. Join us for a day full of festive fun! There will be facepainting, crafts with the Library, DJ Santa & His Elf, Giant Snow Globe & Snow Time, Christmas Cookie Scavenger Hunt, Pictures with Santa, Meet & Greet with Elsa, Anna, & Olaf, Shopping & Activities in the shops, Bayou to Main Vendors, and “Ruck Around the Christmas Tree” fun! Bring your friends, family, and holiday cheer for a magical day of shopping, music, snow, and Christmas spirit right on Main Street in Franklin!

December 6, 2025 Always 1st Saturday of DecemberCity of Franklin Christmas Under the Lamppost Decorated Golf Cart Parade and Christmas on the Bayou Lighting Display Ceremony will be held with line up at 5 pm and parade will begin at 6 pm at the corner of Iberia Street and Main Street, and ending at the Courthouse Square with the lighting of the parish tree and over 1 million immediately after the parade.

December 7, 2025 
Kids Christmas Painting Workshop Hosted by Gather on Main, 617 Main Street, from 1:00 pm-2:30 pm. Kids! Gather your friends and family for a delightful afternoon of cookies & hot chocolate while painting and embellishing your LED-lit wood! Santa’s Workshop, Gingerbread, or Christmas Barn. 29th annual Christmas Tree Festival, hosted by Wendell-Williams Aviation-Cypress and Sawmill Museum, 118 Cotten Rd. Paterson. Calling all educators, group leaders, businesses, and decorators alike! Decorate a tree and your group will have the chance to win some amazing prizes!

December 12-13, 2025 
The Thrill of Hope Musical Production, 1096 Northwest Blvd. Franklin.  FREE ADMISSION
3 Shows: Dec 12th 7 pm, Dec 13st 2 pm, Dec 13st 7 pm.  Join us for one of Franklin’s favorite Christmas traditions as we celebrate the season with Crossing Place Fellowship’s 3rd annual ‘The Thrill of Hope’ musical production!  We will have a petting zoo and winter wonderland experience FREE of charge for the children from 6:00-6:45 pm, and for 30 minutes after the shows

December 13, 2025 Bernice Street Lighting, come out and enjoy the annual Christmas lighting on Bernice Street! From 5:30 pm to 9 pm, there will be popcorn, cocoa, cookies, Santa, the Grinch, and maybe some other characters will be on the street.

December 13, 2025 Santa is coming to Coonass Seafood 
Santa is coming to Coonass Seafood, 1400 Canal Road, Morgan City. Enjoy some free chili dogs and hot cocoa as you meet Santa! From 1 pm to 4 pm.

 3RD Annual Santa Con, Morgan City, 8 pm to 1 am, Get your Santa Claus costume ready (or Mrs. Claus or any winter character you choose. Think Elf, or Snowman, or Grinch.) This is nothing if it’s not a bar crawl (and yes, costumes are required) from one Morgan City bar to another.

 Christmas Movie Night, at Berwick Civic Center, hosted by the town of Berwick. Meet Santa and a movie starting at 6 pm.  Hot dogs, chips, and drinks will be served. It is free to enter, and children will have a chance to win gifts after the movie.

 Teddy Bear Tea at Arlington Mansion, enjoy our holiday selection of gourmet teas, fine finger sandwiches, warm scones served with preserves and vanilla bean cream, and a variety of petite desserts. Children will be offered hot chocolate, lemonade, Nutella croissants, and peanut butter and jelly sandwiches as alternatives.
Every child will receive a gift to take home. 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm. $45.00 for adults, $30.00 for children 12 and under.

December 14, 2025 Christmas Teddy Bear Tea
 Join us for an afternoon Christmas Tea with Santa. From 4:30 to 6:30 pm, 3190 1st Street, The Old Building, Berwick, LA 70342. We will have finger foods, Christmas treats, and drinks for children (milk, tea, water).  Champagne/mimosas, and coffee/tea for adults. After story time with Santa, pictures will be available for an additional $20/digital image for Abigail Kathleen Photography.  Parent’s Day Out 
Have a Merry Little Break! Bayou Vista Community Center, 1333 Bellview Drive, is hosting a Parents’ Day Out from 1 pm to 4 pm. BVCC will entertain your kids for a few hours while you get some holiday prep done. Your little elves will enjoy: Christmas crafts & ornaments, jump house fun, holiday games, & seasonal snacks. Their volunteers will make sure your kids have a safe, festive, fun-filled day while you take a well-deserved break! *Children must be picked up by 4 pm*

135 Yellow Bayou Rd in Centerville, Louisiana. Our light show will run nightly from 5:30 pm – midnight (weather permitting). We do not run our show in the rain. Please come out to enjoy the lights and tune your radio to 88.9

Patterson 
Idlewild Plantation Christmas Driving Tour, 5 to 9 pm, Sunday to Thursday, and 5 to 10 pm, Friday and Saturday, Kemper Williams Park, $2 per car, weather permitting.

Morgan City 
Bernice Street, 5:30 to 9 pm,

Bayou Teche Scenic Byway
