Spring is in the air on the Cajun Coast, and March brings plenty of family-friendly Easter fun across St. Mary Parish. From egg hunts and festive games to special bunny visits, communities throughout the region are celebrating the season with events designed for kids and families to enjoy together.
Easter Egg Hunt in Lawrence Park
On March 21st from 10-11am, Morgan City Main Street hosts a free Easter Egg Hunt at Lawrence Park. Age groups include 2 and under, 3-5 years, and 6-8 years, giving children plenty of opportunities to join in the fun. Also on March 21st from 10am-3pm, BVCC & BVVFD host an Easter Egg Hunt & Blood Drive filled with activities for all ages. The day includes games, inclusive play times for children with accommodations, an egg hunt at 1:15pm, basket judging at 2:30pm, and a community blood drive from 10am-3pm. Adults and individuals 16 years and older are encouraged to donate and help support local healthcare efforts while families enjoy the festivities.
Keep the celebration going on March 26th from 5-8pm at The Galley for Kids Easter Bunnies Night. This free event invites families to enjoy an evening designed just for kids, featuring a special visit from the Easter Bunnies and plenty of seasonal fun.
On March 28th, head to Historic Main Street for the Bayou to Main Spring Fling. This lively community event features photos with the Easter Bunny, an egg hunt, and live music in the heart of downtown, making it the perfect way to wrap up Easter celebrations on the Cajun Coast.
