Enjoy Live Music this Spring on the Cajun Coast!

Spring on the Cajun Coast is the perfect time to slow down, soak up the sunshine, and enjoy the simple pleasures of live music and the outdoors. This April, experience live music events like Sunset at the View Dock, Rockin’ the Dock, Live Music: MidAtlantic Men, the 21st Annual Black Bear Festival, Live Music at Lake End Park, and more. From waterfront sunsets to lively performances and community gatherings, it’s the perfect season to get outside and enjoy everything the Cajun Coast has to offer.

Sunset At the View

Spend your Wednesday evening on April 1st from 6-9pm at Sunset at the View Dock, hosted by Morgan City Main Street on Freret Street Dock. This free event invites you to relax, take in scenic river views, and unwind as the sun sets. Grab your friends, bring a chair, and enjoy a peaceful evening in Downtown Morgan City. This event takes place every Wednesday (except the week before Easter) in April!

Live Music at Lake End Park

Enjoy Lake End Park live music on April 4th, 18th and 25th from 6-9pm hosted at the camper’s pavilion. Enjoy a free performance in a relaxed outdoor setting. Bring your dancing shoes and enjoy an evening of music and good times at the park.

Rockin’ the Dock

Kick off the weekend on April 10th from 6-9pm with Rockin’ the Dock, hosted by Morgan City Main Street on Freret Street Dock. This free Friday night series features live music and a fun, laid-back atmosphere along the water. Bring your chair, gather your friends, and enjoy a lively evening in Downtown Morgan City. This event takes place every Friday.

Dinner Under the Lampposts

Experience a magical evening on April 11th from 6-9pm at Dinner Under the Lampposts, hosted by The Franklin Merchant’s Association in downtown Historic Franklin. Enjoy live music by Chase Landry & Brittany Pool, dinner by Chef Willie Gaspard, and the return of the famous pork chop, all set under the glow of the lampposts. Live Music: MidAtlantic Men

Enjoy an evening of high-energy entertainment on April 16th from 7-9pm at The Schreier Theatre of the Morgan City Auditorium. Hosted by the Morgan City Live Community Concert Association, the MidAtlantic Men deliver a dynamic performance featuring iconic hits from artists like Elvis, The Beatles, Queen, and more.

Evening Plans

Enjoy live music by Cliff Hillebran on April 18th from 9-11pm. at Pool Do’s Sports Bar. This free event brings Cliff Hillebran’s talent to the Pool Do’s stage for a fun night on the Cajun Coast. And check out Amateur Night at One80 Downtown!

Stephensville Annual Cajun Cook-Off

Head to East Stephensville Road on April 18th from 12pm-5pm for the Stephensville Annual Cajun Cook-Off hosted by Ashley Hebert. Enjoy live music, raffle and auction, great food, and a BYOB atmosphere with free admission.

21st Annual Black Bear Festival

Enjoy an evening of live music on April 24th from 7-9pm with Brittany Pool & Band, hosted by the Franklin Merchant’s Association. This free event will take place on Downtown Historic Main Street in Franklin, offering a lively atmosphere and great entertainment in the heart of town. 

Celebrate Louisiana culture and wildlife on April 25th from 9am-11pm at the 21st Annual Black Bear Festival, hosted by The Franklin Merchant’s Association. This event takes place along the bank of the Bayou Teche in Downtown Historic Franklin and highlights the Louisiana Black Bear through educational exhibits, field trips, and children’s activities. Enjoy live music, food, and a full day of festival fun. 

Join the Running of the Bears 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run on April 25th from 8am-12pm. Hosted by the Franklin Merchants Association and Bayou Bend Fitness Center, this event encourages participants of all paces to get moving and take on the challenge.

Don’t miss the 2nd Annual Cast Iron Cook-Off on April 25th from 11am-2:30pm during the Black Bear Festival. Hosted by the Cajun Greeks, teams will compete in seafood and non-seafood categories, cooking dishes over rice in cast iron pots.
