Paper Airplane Flying Contest

Hosted by Wedell-Williams Aviation & Cypress Sawmill Museum and Louisiana State Museum.
This Memorial Day weekend, stop by the Wedell-Williams Aviation & Cypress Sawmill Museum
to create your very own paper airplane and fly it in competition.
Four contest categories: Elementary (PK-4th), Middle (5th – 8th),
High School (9th-12th), and Adult/Open (all ages). Participants will be provided with paper.
You make your paper airplane and fly the airplane in their lobby of up to three attempts
and the distance will be measured from their starting line to where the plane is after gliding.
Winners will be determined by the longest distance.
Winners will be announced via Facebook page & receive a prize (TBA).
Prizes can be picked up on the afternoon of May 23rd after winners
are announced or the following week during regular museum hours.
