Lake Jam

City of Morgan City presents the 4th of July Lake Jam on Thursday, July 4th from 4-9pm! There will be activities for the kids, food trucks, beverages, music, fireworks and more! And don’t miss the exciting boat parade from 3-4pm! The judging will be held at the Old Judges Stand at 4pm. First, second and third place winners will be awarded. BBQ Bash

The 13th annual Bayou BBQ Bash is almost here! Join in for this fun and delicious event on July 26th-27th. The annual Bayou BBQ Bash is a BCA Sanctioned State Championship BBQ Competition held rain or shine in Morgan City, LA each July. The party starts on Thursday, July 25 for the kickoff party! Meet the cooks and enjoy the unveiling of LA Shrimp & Petroleum Festival Poster at the Holiday Inn Express from 5:30-8:30pm. On Friday, the BBQ Bash will begin! It will be held under the U.S. 90 Bridge in Morgan City. There will be food vendors, arts, and crafts from 4-9:30pm and live music by Cliff Hillebran from 6-9pm. On Saturday, there will be arts and crafts and food vendors at 10am, DJ from 10am-1pm, and live music by South 70 from 1-4pm.. Celebrate Summer 

There is plenty to do all summer long on the Cajun Coast. From paddling trails to historic museums, including planes that won air-speed records, there is fun for the whole family!  And, be sure to celebrate summer with a frozen treat! Take your family to get snowballs on the Cajun Coast. Those with a sweet tooth can indulge in snowballs at Paw Paw’s Sno Cones, Lily Bea’s Snowballs, Cajun Sneaux Snowballs and more!
