Summer on the Cajun Coast is here! It’s time for fun for the whole family. Whether you’re exploring the many activities and events on the Cajun Coast or looking for a summer camp for your child, we’ve got you covered!
Summer Camp is coming up at the Bayou Vista Community Center June 3rd-July 25th Monday-Thursday from 12-5pm! The cost is $40 per week ($35 for each additional child per week). This camp is for ages 6 (Before May 31) to 10 (not to be 11 before July 31st). Space is limited so register now! There will be indoor activities as well as spray park fun days, trips to the library and trips to mini golf! Lunch and snacks will be provided.
On June 17-21, sign your child up for a kids summer photography camp! This camp is hosted by Lily Kay Photography in Morgan City from 2-4pm each day for ages 12-16. A whole weeks’ worth of learning and exploring the photography world with a professional photographer.
Space is limited and you can claim your child’s seat by registering on her website at www.lilykayphoto.com. It costs $115, which includes a camp T-shirt and information binder.
The MC Recreation Department Camp is coming up with six, one-week programs! The camp will include pickleball, basketball, crafts, wiffle ball, volleyball, corn hole and more. It starts on Monday, June 3. To register, call 985-380-4600.
Hosted by First Baptist Church of Morgan City, sign up for Vacation Bible School! Discover the majestic Breaker Rock at VBS! Have fun and learn how to stand on God’s rock-solid truth. This camp is from 9am-12pm for ages 5 years old to 6th grade. For more information, call (985) 384-5920.
For a free or inexpensive experience, visit the International Petroleum Museum & Exposition, the Wedell-Williams Aviation & Cypress Sawmill Museum, the Chitimacha Museum, walk the “Great Wall,” or see the Southwest Reef Lighthouse in Berwick at the Everett S. Berry Memorial Lighthouse Park.
