Join them for August’s Lunch & Learn series in the Conference Center inside the Wellness Center at Bayou Bend.
Master Gardner Ingrid M. Butler will kick off the program by exploring the benefits of fall gardening,
including preparing your green space and growing fall produce like greens, beans, carrots, beets, squash, cucumber, onions, & garlic.
Debra Broussard Taghehchian, Nutrition and Community Health Agent with LSU AgCenter, will then present the health benefits of
eating all the produce from Ingris’s fall garden. This month’s presentation will conclude with a raffle prize drawing!
Participants will be treated to a complimentary lunch courtesy of their sponsors Knights of Columbus council 1420 and Enos & Veronica Fangue.
Participants may also bring their own lunch. This event is free to attend, but registration is required to ensure enough seating and lunches.
