10 am to 3 pm. – Louisiana Cane Syrup Heritage Expo, downtown Franklin
The Louisiana Cane Syrup Heritage Expo celebrates the traditions of small-batch cane syrup makers. Antique Syrup Mills, engines, vintage sugarcane farm equipment, arts and crafts, memorabilia related to cane syrup. Music by Joe Hall and the Cane Cutters. Blevins Building
9 to 5pm – Venders along Main Street, Jackson Street to Willow Street -food, arts and crafts, artwork, live music, and more.
10 am to 2 pm – Classic Car Show, Downtown Main Street, Franklin
12:45 pm – Pooch Parade,. Main Street. Dress your pup and strut the runway for a chance to win a special prize. See flyer.
Pumpkin Patch & Pumpkin Decorating
10 to 6 pm – Kids Corral & Petting Zoo, 822 Main Street, Franklin (by Mark Credit)
Games/pumpkins 10 am to 6 pm
Face Painting from 10 am to 4 pm price will be $5.00
Pony Rides, Petting Zoo from 4 pm to 6 pm
10am to 3pm – Sugar Showdown Bake-Off, sponsored by Louisiana Cane Syrup Heritage Expo. Cake, Pie, Cookies and Baker’s Choice. All entries must be baked items which contain raw sugar (from a mill) and/or cane syrup. Rules for Bake Off
3p.m. – Bass Fishing Tournament hosted by Bullet Bass Cub at Myette Pointe Landing, Franklin, LA. Check in is at 3p.m. with a fee of $100 per boat -includes $10 for (1) Big Bass Pot. For 1st place = $1000, 2nd place = $675, 3rd place = $450, 4th place = $125, 100% payout (based on 25 boats. You will have to sign a liability release form. Rules Waiver
