Holiday Adventures on the Cajun Coast!

If you’re looking for a family excursion this holiday season with beautiful landscapes, family-friendly activities and quaint Christmas experiences, the Cajun Coast is your perfect destination! From the shopping in historic Downtown Franklin to parades (including a pet parade in Patterson!) and Teddy Bear Teas, and Christmas movies this December, the Cajun Coast is full of experiences for the whole family. The Cajun Coast is filled with history, tradition and outdoor beauty. Strolling under the lampposts and shopping at local markets, make the Cajun Coast feel like a holiday movie. Experience southern charm during the most wonderful time of year. The whole month of December, you can visit a Victorian Christmas at the Grevemberg House and Shadowlawn with Victorian style tree and seasonal greenery will be held daily (closed Christmas Eve and Day). Christmas Lights on Bayou Teche will be on nightly by tuning in to 93.5 FM on Teche Drive, Main, Martin Luther King and Iberia Streets in Franklin from December 6th to January 8th. Over 1 million lights along Parc Sur La Teche! On December 15th, catch the Cajun Spirit of Christmas at this parade that rolls Friday night at 7pm in Downtown Morgan City with a movie to follow.

Don’t leave your teddy bear behind! There are two Teddy Bear Christmas Teas coming up. Arlington Mansion will be hosting on December 16th and The Old Building in Berwick will be hosting a tea on the 17th. Don’t leave your furry friend behind either! If you’re looking for exciting parades in Patterson, on December 10th you can attend the City of Patterson 4-Legged Friends Christmas Parade at 12pm and then City of Patterson Annual Christmas Street Parade at 2pm. Other holiday activities include lights at Kemper Williams Park and Centerville, Jingle all the Way 5K in Franklin and Tree decorations the Wedell Williams Aviation Museum.
