New Year, New Cajun Coast Adventures!

Happy New Year! The Holidays were such a special time on the Cajun Coast with parades, celebrations and special events. With the new year comes new adventures! Now is the time to plan your trip to the Cajun Coast. If you’re looking for coastal beauty, historical locations and exciting activities, Cajun Coast is the place for you and your family this year.

From paddling trails to Cajun cuisine to Mardi Gras, the Cajun Coast is full of exciting experiences. Mardi Gras is coming up February 13th this year, but there are festivities all month! Only 1.5 hours from New Orleans, Mardi Gras on the Cajun Coast is family fun! From the Friday leading into Fat Tuesday, enjoy parades throughout St. Mary Parish.  A mens krewe, several couples krewe, a childrens krewe and an all krewes parade in Franklin round out the weekend of fun. Come celebrate with feasting and fun on the Cajun Coast. For more information check out our Mardi Gras page!

If you’re looking for a relaxing escape to nature, try our paddle trails or a swamp tour. Enjoy the serene landscape and beautiful wildlife. For a list of detailed paddling options, you’ll want to visit our complete Paddling Trails page with trails marked by degree of difficulty. Pick the perfect one for you and set out on your paddling adventure on the Cajun Coast!
