The Tri-State Cruisin’ Cajun Country Car Club has once again selected Franklin as its Acadiana Spotlight Community.
The club first chose Franklin about six years ago, during the early days of our Revitalization Movement, and we’re thrilled to welcome them back.
Upon arrival, the club will line their classic cars along our Nationally Accredited Main Street—offering
fantastic photo opportunities—before setting off to dine, shop, and explore throughout the city.
Their visit includes tours of historic Grevemberg House, Shadowlawn, and Arlington, as well as a unique
“original Main Street tour” along Bayou Teche, courtesy of Captain Caviar. Some members will also travel to Patterson
to visit the Wedell-Williams Aviation and Cypress Sawmill Museum, guided by museum director and Franklin native, Tiersa Daniels.
After touring, guests will enjoy lunch at the local restaurants of their choice before heading to New Iberia for their Friday Nite Fais Do Do
in Bouligny Plaza, featuring Franklin’s own Johnny Chauvin. They’d like to thank my administration for once again working closely with the club over the past nine months to ensure a successful visit. Special thanks to Cajun Coast Tourism for coordinating the club’s excursions in both Franklin and Patterson.
They’d also want to thank the Franklin Merchants Association for always being ready to serve and greet friendly faces.
It’s going to be a great day for everyone involved!
