Get Outdoors and Celebrate Spring on the Cajun Coast!

Spring on the Cajun Coast is the perfect time to get outside and enjoy all the beauty and natural landscapes the Cajun Coast has to offer. From sunsets to bike rides, to live music and fishing, the Cajun Coast has an action-packed calendar of outdoor events for you and your family.

Kick off the month by joining in Sunset at the View on Wednesdays in April at Front Street Dock from 6pm till sunset. Cocktails and appetizers will be available for purchase. Tables and chairs will be provided.

On Thursday, April 4th, get rolling with a bike ride/stroll in Lawrence Park from 6-9pm!

On Friday, April 5th, get rockin’ at Rockin’ the Dock Live Music Series at Front Street Dock from 6:30-9:30pm. The music line-up includes Swampland Revival, Dejavu, Shorts in December and South 70!

On Sunday, April 6th, check out 2nd Annual In-Laws/Out-Laws & Cooyons fishing competition hosted by Gros Marina! Enter to win or watch the action to see who catches the five heaviest catfish!

Also on April 6th is Surviving the Swamp for Mel at Lake End Park from 9am-5pm. Learn how to build shelters, make primitive fire, build fish traps, and make birds traps featuring cast members from Discovery Channel’s Naked and Afraid!

Be a part of making a difference and cleaning up the city! Operation Beautification Community Clean Up Day in Morgan City is April 20th from 8am-12pm. Following the litter clean-up, join in at the auditorium for refreshments as a thank you!

Keep the volunteer work going with Keep Louisiana Beautiful Love the Boot Week beginning April 20th at 8am! The Keep Louisiana Beautiful Love the Boot Week is a community program engaging volunteers- each spring for positive change and lasting impact. In collaboration with the City of Franklin and St. Mary Parish Library, they will host a city-wide cleanup event to help beautify the city- and promote a sense of pride and unity among neighbors.
